Interfaith Counseling Center
Everyone needs a listening heart sometimes.
The Interfaith Counseling Center
is now open for you!
The Interfaith Counseling Center (ICC) offers counseling to individuals, couples and families on a free-will offering basis for up to three visits. By the third visit, you will be able to choose to end counseling, continue off-site, or be referred to a therapist or other community service agency that will best serve your needs. ICC is available to people of all religious, cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, and provides support for a wide array of issues: spiritual, personal, relationships, parenting support, stress release, depression and anxiety.
ICC serves as a sort of triage unit: Think of a time you called the doctor’s office and spoke with a nurse. The nurse most likely helped you with your issue, made an appointment with the doctor for you, or referred you to another provider. ICC offers a similar service to our Unity community, and beyond! Sometimes, people just need to talk through a challenge without going through the red tape of insurance, paperwork, or the stigma of entering a social service agency. ICC is here for that. Other times, they may not know where to begin the process of healing, or how to get themselves through a difficult time. ICC can help with that as well.
ICC counselors are ready to support you! Leo Dhont, LCSW, Peggy Dhont, Licensed Unity Teacher and Counselor; and Lynn Barrette, LCSW and Licensed Unity Teacher and Counselor.
Sessions are by appointment by calling the church office at 847-297-0997.
